Ewave will market and implement the Equalweb digital accessibility platform
June 06 , 2018
Ewave has announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with Equalweb and it will market and integrate the company`s platform for digital accessibility among its customers.
Equalweb is developing technology solutions that enable accessibility adjustments to any website according to Israeli standard 5568, which requires sites to be accessible to people with disabilities. Equalweb`s platform is an Israeli development, with its international brand called Equalweb. The company began developing the system five years ago, and after accumulating enough experience in the Israeli market, it began the marketing of the product worldwide.
Ewave, a leading technology company in the digital field, examined accessibility solutions and worked with many suppliers in the field. After several years of professionalism in the field of accessibility, it decided to cooperate in a comprehensive manner with Equalweb, and market its accessibility solution to all their customers.
Support of the global standards in the field The accessibility solution supports not only the Israeli standard but is also based on the international WCAG V2 standard, supports the US Section 508, European EN301549 and other standards worldwide. Therefore, Ewave, whose customers are overseas, will also market the product to worldwide customers.
Tiran Chai, Co-CEO of Ewave said: "Based on the social importance of this issue, we have set ourselves the goal of becoming the leading Israeli company in the field of digital accessibility. In the recent years, we have carried out many projects of accessibility - in some of them we have made accessibility in the code and in others through various accessibility solutions. After a number of projects that we did with Equalweb, we realized that this is the right solution for us. We conducted thorough tests with all the accessibility solutions available in the market, and we decided to implement the future accessibility processes with Equalweb, and automated and intelligent system that keeps the site accessible. "
Adam Ikar, CEO of Equalweb said: "I am very happy that Ewave has chosen us, and I am pleased to see that companies and organizations are not only looking for the cheapest option but also the best quality solution to implement accessibility. There are many accessibility supplements which do not include any technology – a wheelchair symbol does not necessarily mean that the site is accessible, and using it misses the purpose of the standard, which is to allow more than 15% of the population, which is defined as a population with disabilities, to surf the Internet in an equal and convenient way. We invested millions of shekels in our product in order to develop a unique technology and become a leading player in Israel and around the world. I am pleased that Ewave, along with other companies, is working with us to develop a more accessible and equal world ".
A world leader and a pioneer in web accessibility, focused on helping people with disabilities to access digital information: EqualWeb. In the physical world, access for people with disabilities must be ensured. The same goes for the digital world – especially in the times of COVID. People with disabilities and the elderly must be allowed the same access, information, and ability to perform actions on stores and websites as anyone else. With over a quarter of the US population having some sort of disability, this is a market that cannot be ignored. This is the market that EqualWeb is addressing through its groundbreaking accessibility technology, which offers advanced functionalities that enable individuals living with various disabilities to browse the web in a secure way.
Making websites accessible. "We integrate our widget solutions into websites to create a digitally inclusive channel for media consumption". Why is it important for every website to be accessible? In the physical world, it goes without saying that access for people with disabilities must be ensured, such as entrance ramps, accessible restrooms, and so on. The same goes for the digital world – morally, legally, and economically. People with disabilities must be allowed the same access to information, and the ability to perform actions on stores and websites as anyone else can. The idea is to make it an Equal Web – and this is very easy to do with EqualWeb.
Put the exit dream aside. Every startup aspires to accumulate a large number of enterprise customers - the kind whose logo, when posted on the site, would display a kind of "industry standard” and identify them as a reliable market-leading company. About half of startup companies fail at this task - how can they succeed in their own right and sell their services directly to enterprise-level organizations?
