Your files are never stored with EqualWeb - a document is processed in the remediation cloud and the result returns to SharePoint. Keys and credentials are stored encrypted (AES-256).

How it works

  1. Scan

    The document libraries of the SharePoint sites your admin approves - and only those. Office documents (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) are detected too, for accessible conversion.

  2. Score

    Every document is checked against ~80 PDF/UA and WCAG rules and gets a 0-100 score plus a detailed, permanently-linked report.

  3. Prioritize

    Documents are classified by signals from SharePoint itself: required for service, public, internal, or archive (pending your confirmation) - so you fix what matters first.

  4. Remediate

    One click sends the document to EqualWeb's AI remediation - tagging, reading order, alt text, metadata - and the accessible file replaces the original in place. The original stays restorable.

PDF accessibility in SharePoint - common questions

Does EqualWeb get access to our whole Microsoft 365 tenant?
No. The connection uses Microsoft's Sites.Selected model: your admin approves specific SharePoint sites one by one, and the app can see only those. The rest of the tenant is invisible to it.
What happens to a document when it is remediated?
The accessible version replaces the original in place - same file ID, same links, same sharing. SharePoint's own version history keeps the original, so restoring is one click.
Do we need to install anything on our servers?
No. This is a cloud connection through Microsoft Graph - your admin approves it, and there is nothing to deploy or update on your side.
