India web accessibility

 

India passed web accessibility guidelines for government agencies in 2009, compelling them to adhere to WCAG 2.0 Level A standards.

 

In 2016, enacted the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act that prohibits discrimination against persons with disabilities, including the online sphere. Although this law applies to both the public and private sectors, it currently has no standardized guidelines.
